Like many K-8 school counselors I spent the majority of my time as a counseling intern at Orchard Gardens creating and implementing group counseling sessions.
I co-facilitated or independently led the following groups:
-Social Skills for Students with Autism
-Girls Relational Aggression
-Girls Empowerment
-Middle School Transition/Academic Skills

Individual Counseling
I met weekly with a caseload of students to work on improving their success in the classroom. I collaborated with teachers and school staff to conduct Functional Behavior Assessments and Behavior Management Plans. I was also part of the Student Support Team which met weekly to discuss how best to support specific students who were referred by classroom teachers.
